What is @DidTheDevilsWin?

@DidTheDevilsWin was an Instagram fan page created by myself in 2019. Originally started as a way too keep up to date with news in the National Hockey League, I decided to create posts after each New Jersey Devils game, announcing whether the team won or lost. I ran the page throughout three NHL seasons, and the account reached a height of 1.5k followers at its most popular time.

Once I realized the potential of the page, I knew I had to jump on this opportunity. As the seasons went on, I constantly updated the content posted to keep the page from feeling redundant. On each “Did The Devils Win” post, I provided feedback on the game from a fan’s perspective. I did this in an attempt to connect with the viewer. Doing this also sparked fan interaction which, along with hashtags, helped the page grow. In another attempt to grow the following, I uploaded memes, as well as non Devils content, from time to time.
