@DidTheDevilsWin is an Instagram fan page that I created in 2019. Originally started as a way too keep up to date with news in the National Hockey League, I decided to create posts after each New Jersey Devils game, announcing whether the team won or lost. After some time, the account gained a following. I ran the account through 2023, and eventually stopped posting due to a lack of time. Throughout three and a half seasons in the NHL, the account reached a height of 1.5k followers.

Once I realized the potential of the page I had, I knew I had to jump on this opportunity. As the seasons went on, I would constantly update the content posted to keep the page from feeling redundant. On each “Did The Devils Win” post, I would provide my feedback on the game from a fan’s perspective. I did this in an attempt to connect with the viewer. Doing this also sparked fan interaction which, along with hashtags, helped the page grow. In another attempt to grow the following, I would upload memes, as well as non Devils content, from time to time.
